Kramer Guitars proudly announces joining forces with Ari Mihalopoulos and Bruce Swink of the band Destrophy.
Destrophy is a well-established 4 piece pop/rock/metal machine based out of central Iowa. Destrophy features Ari, guitar and vocals, Phil T. bass, Joe Fox on drums, and Bruce Swink, former member of Roadrunner Records, Stone Sour and DownTheSun, on guitar.
They have secured a solid foothold as one of the brightest contenders in the modern independent music industry. The bands catchy signature sound and dominating live shows continue to draw large crowds and enthusiastic responses from their continually growing fan base, both here in the US and overseas.
Top of the afternoon! We received some photos of Ari and Bruce from Destrophy and their customized Kramers. Ari’s Imperial has been given the serious “worn the hell out” look and is loaded with an EMG 81 and 89R with a coil tap. Bruce’s trans black Kramer Custom has been outfitted with an EMG 81 and 85. We should have some live shots of Destrophy with their Kramers and some other new artists that have joined up with Kramer soon.
Top of the morning folks. I found so many of these great videos of a die hard Kramer fan on you tube I had to share it with everyone. This is Casey Jones from Australia with his USA Kramer Jersey Star keeping shred alive and well.
We just got word that Kramer is doing a release in small quantity (about a dozen I heard) the highly requested USA Pacer Imperial. it will be available in Trans Amber (shown below) Trans Blue and Metallic Black.
It features a Poplar body with a one piece Maple neck and fingerboard in a bolt on set up. The hardware is an Original Floyd Rose trem system and Schaller tuners and strap locks (yes, it comes with locks….because we don’t want you to drop it either). The pickups are the Kramer 91T and 90R (made in the USA by Gibson), with a switchcraft barrel jack and 3-way mini toggle. The volume/volume/tone configuration is topped off with a treble bleed mod on both volumes. This keeps the tone smooth and bright when lowering the volume on the guitar….sweet for bringing out those subtle dynamics in a song without losing your tone.
It has the classic Kramer beak headstock with clear finish and vintage Pacer logo and the maple neck is oh soooo sweet with an oil rubbed finish. It plays like buttah dahling!
It looks like the Pacer will be available through www.musicyo.com for $1199, starting Monday, November 24th…….Wow… for a 100% made and assembled in the USA guitar with all these features and a hardshell case these can’t last long.
Steel Panther has been hitting the road promoting their upcoming release on Universal Records “Death To All but Metal”…..no not buttmetal… look up the video to the title track of the album to get that one. Here are a few shots of them at the Cannery Ballroom in NY this week.
Kramer took a road trip out to Anaheim, California for the 2009 Winter NAMM show to show off some new designs. The response was overwhelming and we thought we would share a few photos from the weekend.
